Castillo said chemical castration of rapists was already practiced in countries such as Russia, Poland, South Korea, Indonesia and Moldova. THE chemical castration is done by administering drugs that inhibit sexual desire.

According to the Peruvian Ministry of Women's Rights, more than 21.000 minors have been raped in the last 4 years. Only in 2021 were they recorded 6.929 cases.
