Since Madeline McCann disappeared in 2007, there have been more than 8,600 reports of her being seen in an area. Cyprus was also among these areas.

Little Madeleine, whose face made headlines in many newspapers around the world when she disappeared, is considered the most "recognizable" missing child in the world.

As a result, there have been 8685 reports of the unfortunate child in more than 101 different countries since May 3, 2007.

The reliability of the information is not the same in any case, while in some countries where a testimony was considered credible, an investigation was launched by the local police.

The information that connects her with Ayia Napa

It should be noted that in 2012 the Cypriot police were mobilized after the information that the little girl was seen in Ayia Napa. In particular, a British man in Ayia Napa said he saw the girl with a family. In fact, there were reports that the same family had been charged a few days earlier for stealing items from the apartment they were renting. A Cypriot police spokesman told AFP that the family had most likely left Cyprus. London Metropolitan Police declined to comment, saying the investigation was ongoing. According to reports, the family has never been identified.

In six other cases, the reports were credible. In particular, between May 4-17, a video from a closed-circuit surveillance in Portugal recorded a little girl who looked like little Madeleine. The little girl was accompanied by two men and a woman.

However, a source in Scotland Yard told British media that they are chasing an "important" person for this case.

As for Netflix's documentary "The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann," her family said they would not watch it.
