Ankara is sending a message that it is not going to "give up its interests and rights", in the wake of the sharp positions, during the EU Varna Summit, on its attitude towards Cyprus and Greece and the challenges in the Aegean and the EEZ.
This position on the part of Turkey comes after the marathon, about 4,5 hours, meeting of the Security Council of the country, under President Erdogan.
During the meeting, as mentioned, a comprehensive examination of the issues of Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean, and the developments in the Aegean took place, while, in the statement that followed, there is also the fire of Ankara against Athens, which he accuses of her attitude is not appropriate in a good neighborhood relationship.
At the same time, according to Turkish media, the Council warned that the Turkish armed forces would intervene in the Kurdish enclave of Manbij, in northern Syria, if the Kurdish forces did not withdraw from the area.
In contrast to the Afrin enclave, however, there are US special forces in Manbij who support the Kurds in the fight against the Islamic State.
