The images now being recorded in Turkey are dramatic, as crowds of people line up to get bread. Their despair is obvious and they do not hesitate to express it even on TV cameras. "I do not give anything to those who brought us to this situation. We became resilient! " says a citizen, who is waiting to get bread. "What can I say… Those who brought the country into this situation should be ashamed… People are waiting in line for a loaf of bread. "And then they talk to us and wave their finger at us," notes another.
It is recalled that the Turkish pound has lost more than 43% of its value against the dollar since the beginning of the year and observers fear that the fall may continue further.
