Vaccinations in Britain surpassed all previous levels, as the country proceeded to 711.156 vaccinations in just 24 hours and while in the country 50% of the population has received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
This means that now 26.853.407 million British adults have received the first dose of the vaccine.
The country's health minister, Matt Hancock, described the vaccination record as an "impressive achievement".
The news was also welcomed by the Prime Minister of the country Boris Johnson.
A total of 2.132.551 Britons have received the second dose of the vaccine, according to government figures broadcast by the BBC.
Despite the impressive data, Britain recorded yesterday another 96 deaths of people who in the last 28 days of their lives were diagnosed positive after a covid test.
