The shock of her life was experienced by a woman from Tennessee, who returned home to find an unknown naked man, who had invaded the apartment without being noticed by her children.

According to the New York Post, 27-year-old Michael Tyler Henegar was arrested by local police for violating the rules for sex offenders when he broke into an apartment in Knoxville, and even while children were at home, possibly with the intention of stealing.

Henegar is believed to have stormed the apartment through a door that was unlocked at noon on December 19. When homeowner Daphne Crowley returned home alone with her children, she knocked on the door to open it for her daughter. Moments later, a mother and daughter suddenly saw Henegar naked in front of them, wearing only the shoes that the woman intended to give to the girl as a Christmas present.

As Crowley testified to the police, the 27-year-old fled after the shocking meeting, leaving the yard. She chased him, but was unable to catch him after he caught up and disappeared into a nearby forest.

"If I had caught him I would have beaten him," the woman told local WVLT-TV station.

A little while later, police arrested the perpetrator in the forest where he was hiding. The most frightening aspect of the story, however, is that this man may have visited the woman's house in the past, after things were found on him that he had bought in the past and had been mysteriously lost. Among these items was her granddaughter's toothbrush.

Henegar had been convicted of sexually exploiting a minor in 2013 and has since been arrested for violating sex offenders' regulations.
