The Decree of the Minister of Health Michalis Hadjipandelas for the operation of theaters, cinemas, amphitheaters and theater halls was published today in the official newspaper of the Republic.

According to a relevant announcement, in the context of the continuous re-evaluation of the measures taken in the last two sessions of the Council of Ministers to curb the spread of the virus, it was decided that from Tuesday, July 13, and after regulation with an amending Decree to be issued on July 12 , theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters will operate in accordance with the conditions set for football stadiums.

Specifically:

  • From 13 July to 20 July, access to theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters is only allowed for persons who have completed their vaccination schedule or have been vaccinated with 1η vaccine dose and 3 weeks have elapsed, for persons holding a 72-hour negative PCR certificate and for persons with COVID-19 the last 6 months, at a rate of 50% fullness of the premises / space.
  • From July 21, theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters are allowed to enter as follows:
  1. only for people who have completed their vaccination regimen and for people who have become ill with COVID-19 the last 6 months, into a 75% occupancy rate of the premises / spaceeither
  2. only for people who have completed their vaccination regimen or have been vaccinated with 1η vaccine dose and 3 weeks have elapsed, for persons holding a 72-hour negative PCR certificate and for persons with COVID-19 in the last 6 months, meaning that the maximum number of people indoors does not exceed 250 people and outdoors 350 people. It is understood that all the provisions of the health protocol and the guidelines apply.
  • Persons aged 12-15 years who cannot be vaccinated at this stage and have not had a COVID certificate of recovery in the last 6 months, present a negative certificate from PCR or rapid antigen test with a validity of 72 hours. In addition, persons aged 72 and over who cannot be vaccinated due to a serious medical problem are excluded and may present a negative PCR or rapid test certificate with a validity of 16 hours upon presentation of a medical certificate confirming the reason why they cannot be vaccinated. .

The Minister of Health, exercising the powers given to him by Article 6 (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (g) of the Law on Infectious Diseases, Chapter 260 and which were assigned to him by the Decision of the Council of Ministers dated March 3, 2021, issues the following Decree:

Because, the protection of public health and the health care system are the responsibility of the Republic and due to the urgent need arising from the epidemiological data in order to limit the spread of Coronavirus disease COVID-19, the protection of public health, but also the prevention of possible collapse of the health system from the spread of the virus, taking into account the requirements in human resources and logistics that will be necessary to deal with the rapid spread of the virus and because it is necessary to take additional necessary measures, and Official Journal, Annex Three (I): 23.3.2020.

Because with a Notification published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, following the authorization of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Health declared as infected local areas with the Koronovirus COVID-19 pursuant to Article 4 of the Infectious Diseases Law, Chapter 260, the Provinces of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos, and Because, taking into account that the vaccination program for the disease COVID-19 is progressing satisfactorily and that by 6 July 2021, 65,5% had received the first dose of the vaccine and 53,94% had completed the vaccination schedule, but at the same time, from 29 June 2021 to 7 July 2021, 5,489 cases had been reported. , while the average number of patients treated daily is between 65 and 90 patients per day and given that during the above period two deaths of patients were recorded with the ultimate cause of death being the disease COVID-19, and that the rate of positive diagnostic tests for Coronavirus disease COVID-19, exceeds 1,5%, the following Regulations are issued for the Provinces of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos:

1. This Decree will be referred to as the Infection (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus) COVID-19) Decree (No. 29) of 2021. Official Journal, Annex Three (I): 8.7.2021.

2. Regulation 2.26 of the Infectious Diseases (Definition of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19) Decree (No. 28) of 2021, deleted and repealed.

3. The operation of theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters is allowed,

under the following conditions:

(a) Until the 20th of July 2021 the entrance to theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters is allowed, provided that the fullness does not exceed 50% of the capacity of the premises and for persons aged 12 years and over, the possession of either a negative laboratory is required examination or rapid antigen detection test for his disease COVID-19 with the sampling taking place within 72 hours, or a vaccination certificate for the disease COVID-19 at least one dose and provided that a period of three weeks has elapsed since the date of vaccination, or evidence of release in the case of persons who have contracted the disease; COVID-19 and provided that no more than six months have elapsed from the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis,

(b) from 21η July 2021 is allowed to enter theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas and theaters:

(i) either 75% of the full capacity of the premises, provided that persons 16 years of age and older present or a vaccination certificate for the disease COVID-19 at least one dose and provided that three weeks have elapsed since the date of vaccination or evidence of release in the case of persons who have contracted the disease. COVID-19 and provided that no more than six months have elapsed from the date of sampling of their initial diagnosis:

It is understood that, and provided that the total maximum number of persons is not exceeded, persons under the age of 12, persons between the ages of 12 and 15 who present with a negative laboratory test or rapid antigen detection test for the disease are excluded. COVID-19 with the sampling taking place within 72 hours, as well as persons aged 16 and over who cannot be vaccinated due to a medical problem who present a relevant medical certificate as well as a negative laboratory test or rapid antigen test for his disease COVID-19 with sampling completed within 72 hours,

4. This Decree enters into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
