The National Coronavirus Report shows a significant drop in all epidemiological indicators, which records several positive data for the pandemic until August 30, as well as the Death Report until September 1.

On September 1, 2021, 145 people with COVID-19 (diagnosis until August 30) were hospitalized (based on registered data and including those who were discharged, transferred or died on that day). Their mean age was 63 years with 52,8% (n = 76) concerning men (out of 144 persons with the relevant information available) and 39,4% (n = 52) persons from the province of Limassol ( from 132 people with the relevant information available).

In total, 49 (43%) people with COVID-19 hospitalized by 114 individuals reported underlying diseases.

According to the records, 29 people (diagnosed until August 30) were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - and all 27 were intubated. The median age of patients COVID-19 in ICU was 57 years, while 21 cases (72,4%) involved men.

In the last 14 days, 428.564 molecular tests (PCR) (48.261,7 per 100.000 population) and 206.331 antigen rapid tests (23.235,5 per 100.000 population) have been performed.

The median age of people with COVID-19 who lost their lives due to this disease were 78 years old. Regarding the admissions to Hospitals and Intensive Care Units (ICU), until September 1, 2021, a total of 4,6% (n = 5.338) of COVID19 cases received hospital treatment. The median age of the hospitalized persons is 60 years.

A total of 560 patients (10,5% of the total number of patients) were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The median age of those admitted to the ICU was 66 years. The patients in the ICU were mainly men (n = 355, 63,4%). The median length of stay in the ICU (for all patients admitted to the ICU) is 13 days. According to the registered data, on September 1, 2021, 29 patients (diagnosed until August 30, 2021) were in the ICU. The median age of these patients was 57 years. 72,4% (n = 21) of the cases concerned men.
