The thoughts

The Ministry of Health is studying various scenarios for the next measures while it seems to be keying that Weddings and baptisms should be limited to 350 people.

At the same time, it is expected that there will be a change in the gatherings with the measure of 50 people per gathering, which has been in force in recent weeks in Limassol, to be applied on a pan-Cypriot basis.

The measure regarding the mandatory use of a mask in all enclosed spaces is expected to remain in force and you are studying whether the use of a mask will become mandatory in the school units with the new school year.

During today's meeting, after the Minister of Health listens to the suggestions of the scientists, he will then convey to the Council of Ministers next Friday, which will meet in Troodos for final decisions, without ruling out any announcements tomorrow.

According to sources from the Ministry of Health, everything depends on the epidemiological data and it is not excluded, depending on the available data, that there may be either relaxations or even stricter measures.

Finally, it remains open what will happen at the beginning of the new school year with the Minister of Education presenting the situation to the minister (with proposals), with the final decisions to be made next week.
