A case of attempted murder, with the victim being a 26-year-old resident of Nicosia, is being investigated by the Police, in Nicosia.
The case was committed in the early hours of today. Specifically, around 2.20 p.m. Police received information about a man being injured in Nicosia. Police members went to the scene, where they found a 26-year-old man injured, who was transported by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital.
The police examinations provided a testimony according to which a short time earlier, the 26-year-old had been attacked by a second 26-year-old, who allegedly wounded him with a knife and then fled.
An arrest warrant has been issued against the alleged perpetrator and he is wanted.
From the medical examinations, which the injured person underwent in the Hospital, it was found that he has three injuries, in the left, anterior and lateral chest, which seem to have been caused by a sharp object. He was detained for treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital, while his health condition is considered serious.
The police are looking for him
As part of the investigation into a murder attempt that took place this morning in the province of Nicosia, the Nicosia Police Department is looking for AHMED RASHID, 26 years old, from Somalia, whose photo is being made public, in order to assist the Police investigations in locating him.
