Police arrested a 29-year-old man suspected of committing a number of burglaries and thefts committed recently in Nicosia.

These are a total of seven cases of burglary of buildings, namely cafes, from which money was stolen from the cash registers, as well as two laptops.

An arrest warrant had been issued against the 29-year-old, following information that emerged against him for committing burglaries and thefts. He was located and arrested on the basis of a court order, following an operation carried out by members of the Nicosia Police Department, to locate and arrest him, last night.

Around 3.50 after midnight, the members of the Burglary Squad of TAE Nicosia, located the car that according to the investigated data was used by the 29-year-old, to be driven to an area in Latsia. After the members of the Police stopped the vehicle, they found that its driver was the 29-year-old suspect and proceeded to arrest him.

A search of the car turned up a number of collectible coins, for the possession of which the 29-year-old did not give satisfactory explanations, as well as burglary tools, with the result that TAE members proceeded to arrest the suspect for the spontaneous offenses of illegal possession of property. and possession of burglary tools.

For the purposes of police examinations, the 29-year-old was taken into custody, with the Nicosia Police Department continuing the examinations.
