Paphos Police are investigating a case of illegal possession of drugs and possession of burglary tools with the arrest of a 29-year-old to facilitate the investigations.

According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, an off-duty police officer arrested a 29-year-old man who was allegedly preparing for burglary.

The police officer noticed that the young man was wandering in a parking lot of an apartment complex in the area of ​​Kato Pervolia and was processing the locks of warehouses that were on the scene.

After approaching him, he found that he was in possession of a battery drum. The off-duty police officer, after approaching him and revealing his official identity, asked him to reveal the purpose of his presence at the place as well as the lawfulness of the possession of the object in his possession. The 29-year-old did not give any explanations regarding the legality of the possession of the drum or any explanations for his presence in the place.

After the arrest of the 29-year-old, a quantity of the chemical drug was allegedly found in the possession of the young man.

The investigations into the case are being continued by the Paphos Police Department.
