Police decree banning the movement of certain motorcyclists brings dynamic measures

Letters to the Chief of Police and the Minister of Justice are to be sent within the day by the Cyprus Motorcycle Federation following the decree banning the movement of motorcycles of a certain capacity in specific places for specific days.

As Offsite is informed, the letter was prepared on the night of Thursday 12/8, while within the day it is expected to be sent to those in charge.

However, the whole issue provoked a storm of reactions from motorcyclists and their organizations who say they are ready for dynamic measures if the Police finally proceed with the decree.

On the other hand, a portion of citizens applaud the decision of the Police, believing that this will solve the problem of harassment, especially during the midnight hours.

The Cyprus Motorcycle Federation is ready for dynamic mobilizations

Offsite contacted the President of the Cyprus Motorcycle Federation, Zanetto Koumassi, who stressed that the decree and the decision in question do not find them in agreement.

"We do not agree with the decree. We have prepared a letter and we will send it to the Chief and the Minister of Justice ", noted Mr. Zanettos, adding that in addition to the letter, they will also request a meeting with those in charge.

"All motorcyclists will mobilize for the issue. We will not leave it like this ", said Mr. Zanettos categorically, emphasizing that in case the decree is not changed, they will proceed with mass mobilizations.
