The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATHE) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the interested parties that based on the Law on Dehumidification and the relevant Decree dated 12 February 2021, as well as the clarifying announcement of the Cypriot Health, dated 18 February 2021 the passage for the purposes of amateur sport fishing in the dams is allowed.
Specifically, it is clarified that individual amateur sport fishing is allowed to be carried out at the dams for the holders of a relevant permit issued by the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research.
However, it is noted that fishing in dams is allowed only during the hours when movement is allowed, people should not exceed two, except for minor children and it is necessary to send an SMS to 8998 (category 6). It is understood that all the terms of the relevant decree and directives regarding measures to limit the spread of the COVID - 19 virus apply.
In addition to the above, all the terms of the Fisheries Law and its Regulations apply.
