Two new deaths and almost 2.700 cases

The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 21 2022:

- They were announced 2 deaths

- Relate to:

  • A woman, 90 years old, who passed away on February 20
  • A 80-year-old man who died on February 21

- Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 825.

-       164 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       40 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of ventilator / 13 intubated, MAF: 27)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 68,91%

-       27 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 132.177 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 2.698 new cases (set of cases 308.917).

- Position rate in all exams 2,04%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 9.456 molecular tests

- They emerged  342positive incidents

- Position of positivity 3,62%

-       Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 122.721 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 2.356 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 1,92%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 389 molecular tests and were detected  32 positive events (percentage of positivity 8,23%)

- They were carried out 1.042 rapid antigen detection tests and detected  94 positive events (percentage of positivity 9,02%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 1.875 molecular tests were identified 208 positive events (percentage of positivity 11,09%)

- They were carried out 63.945 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 1.512 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,36%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 58.776 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 844 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 19.094 rapid detection tests were detected 468 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,45%)

Education

- Primary Education: 18.536 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  71 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,38%)

- Secondary Education: 10.427 rapid detection tests were detected  64 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,61%)

- Test-to-Stay: performed 5.498 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 68 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,24%)

- Special Schools: conducted 855 rapid antigen detection tests and detected  14 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,64%)

Other

- National Guard: carried out 297 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 8 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,69%)

- Nursing homes: conducted 1.376 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  52 positive events (percentage of positivity 3,78%)

- Closed structures: carried out  21 rapid antigen detection test and no new cases were detected

- Government Services: performed 1.337 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 5 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,37%)

- Industrial Areas: carried out 293 rapid antigen detection test and no positive cases were detected

Note:

The figures mentioned in the announcement are indicative and may vary based on the final and up-to-date data sent in the context of the National Epidemiological Risk Report published every second Friday.
