The NATO Summit continues today for the second day in Madrid. The President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, will participate tonight in a dinner for the leaders of the EU and NATO.
As announced by the Director of his Press Office, Andreas Iosif, President Anastasiadis was invited to attend the dinner hosted by the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, on the sidelines of the NATO Summit, and will deliver a speech during it.
According to Mr. Joseph, the trip to the Spanish capital will give President Anastasiadis the opportunity to meet bilaterally with foreign leaders and inform them about issues that concern Cyprus, most importantly the Cyprus issue. His proposal for the implementation of MOE, which will assist the whole process and the need for the Turkish side to abandon its provocative actions and uncompromising stance, will be at the center of President Anastasiadis' contacts.
The President of the Republic returns to Cyprus on Thursday, June 30.
