A 30-month prison sentence was imposed today by the District Court of Famagusta on a 64-year-old, who was found guilty in a case of transporting people by sea in an unsafe boat.
According to the Court's findings, at the beginning of September 2023, the 64-year-old, with the aim of making a profit, knowingly contributed to the transport to Cyprus, by sea, of 43 people, with an overloaded vessel.
