Twenty-six premises and 16 citizens were reported by the Police for violation of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus, in a total of 953 checks from 6.00 on Friday morning until 6.00 on Saturday.
As a representative of the Press Office of the Police Headquarters stated in KYPE, the most important complaint of a property concerns coffee in Nicosia, in which an extrajudicial fine of 8.000 euros was issued because it did not observe the distances provided by the decree for the seats, the employees did not wear protective masks. there were no antiseptics or thermometers.
In Limassol, premises were reported for not using a mask and extrajudicial fines of 500 euros were issued, in Larnaca there were no complaints. According to the same spokesman, most of the complaints were in Paphos and amount to 16.
Most of the complaints in Paphos concerned the work of masked employees. Among them, 3 premises were fined 1.000 euros for overcrowding. Furthermore, 10 premises were reported for violations that will be brought before the Court.
In Famagusta there were 3 complaints for not using a mask.
