President Anastasiadis analyzed his goals and strategy in Geneva to the members of the National

The President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, informed the members of the National Council about the program, the structure of the Informal Conference on the Cyprus issue, as well as the goals and the strategy that will follow.

According to a written statement by Deputy Government Spokesman Panagiotis Sentonas, the meeting was also attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Health, as well as the Negotiator of the Greek Cypriot side Andreas Mavrogiannis.

During the meeting, said Mr. Sentonas, President Anastasiadis informed the members of the National Council about the preparations made for the informal conference on the Cyprus issue in Geneva, on April 27-29, convened by the UN Secretary General. as well as for the work that has been produced to date on specific issues.

He also informed, "about the program and structure of the informal conference, as defined by the United Nations and further analyzed the objectives, but also the strategy that our side will follow during the informal conference in Geneva".

According to the Deputy Government Spokesman, the President of the Republic will leave for Geneva on the morning of 26th April accompanied by the leaders of the political parties.

Mr. Sentontas also informed through his written statement that during the meeting of the National Council, the President informed the members of the body about the current situation in the country in relation to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as about the framework of measures that the Government intends to take.
