A foreigner died when he fell from the 5th floor of an apartment building in his attempt to escape from police control.
According to the first information, early on Wednesday morning (10/4), after the police received information about illegal foreigners in an apartment building in Limassol, members of the force went to the spot for a check.
When the police entered a 5th floor apartment in Limassol and under circumstances that are being investigated, two foreigners tried to escape. One of the two jumped from the bedroom window, causing him to fall from the balcony and fatally injure himself.
The second foreigner also jumped from the balcony of the apartment but fell on the balcony of another apartment, resulting in serious injuries. The injured person was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The scene was cordoned off and the TAE of Limassol is continuing the investigations.
