The cycle of investigating football matches opens with intense betting activity.
The Sports Ethics and Protection Committee has before it, four red files concerning matches with very intense betting activity, which were held in the last ten days.
Speaking on state radio, the vice-president of the Sports Ethics and Protection Committee, Akis Efthymiou, said that the red envelopes concern the games:
Olympiacos- Doxa, Olympiacos- Akritas, Paralimni Youth Union - AEL and Omonia - AEK.
He also pointed out that at 6 pm, the appointment of four investigative officers will take place.
At the same time, Mr. Efthimiou pointed out that two more investigating officers will be appointed, who will examine the complaints of the former secretary of the Ethics and Protection of Sports Committee, Haris Savvidis, regarding the cover-up of 16 red files by the KOP.
At 6:30 in the afternoon, Mr. Savvidis will testify before the Commission and will officially hand over all the evidence he has.
According to Mr. Savvidis, the 16 red envelopes concern 11 games of Karmiotissa and five of Ermis Aradippou.
During his intervention in the Third, Akis Efthimiou, indicated that there seems to be an issue of irreconcilability for the President of KOP, George Koumas.
He emphasized that an investigation will be carried out on this issue as well and expressed the belief that within the next three days, the Commission will have all the information at its disposal.
