A total of 61 used EAC vehicles will be put up for auction through a tender announced by the semi-governmental organization, with starting prices starting at € 300 for a 25-year-old van and reaching € 1.500 for luxury limousines aged about 18 years. Specifically, as "F" mentions in his article, with an open tender announced yesterday by the EAC, it requests offers for the sale of its used vehicles. Interesting for many interested parties is the prediction in the tender that each vehicle will be sold separately based on the highest bid price, which expands the competition for many of the vehicles and increases the chances of the EAC getting better prices.
The award criterion will be exclusively the highest price for each vehicle, provided of course that the interested parties meet the criteria of the legislation for participation in such competitions. Bidders should also keep in mind that the import duty has not been paid for 23 of the 61 under sale vehicles, however this does not significantly increase the prices of these vehicles, as this is a duty that starts at € 25 and reaches € 210.
The vehicles are parked in specific areas of the EAC in the provinces of Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos and the vehicles will be picked up from these areas within ten days of the tender for each vehicle. The lowest prices for the start of the auction start from € 300 and concern double-cab MITSUBISHI L200 and saloon PEUGEOT 106XR, NISSAN SUNNY 1.6 SLX, SUZUKI ALTO, TOYOTA COROLLA 20D VAN "Start with" registration numbers ". For double cabins with registration numbers that are alienated from "K", such as TOYOTA HILUX and ISUZU DIMAX, the initial offer prices range from € 500 to € 1.000.
Also of interest are SUVs such as the TOYOTA LAND CRUISER with an opening price of € 1.500, LAND ROVER DEFENDER DISCOVER TDI 2.5 and KIA SPORTAGE with an opening price of € 1.000, SUZUKI VITARA JLX with a starting price of € 200 and JE € 500. The opening prices for HINO trucks start from € 1.500, while for semi-trucks such as ISUZU NHR the starting prices range from € 600. The Queen of Auction is apparently the managing director of the BMW 530i with KTL registration numbers located at the EAC headquarters and for which the starting price is € 1.500.
