The national memorial service for the seven fallen Lysians during the Turkish invasion of 1974 was held on Monday, at the Church of Agios Panteleimon in Meneou, Larnaca province.

A written announcement of the Municipality of Lysis states that "the seven victims are Andreas I. Prokopas, Andreas C. Kousiappa, Kallis A. Nikoletti, Christoforos P. Ttofa, Michael K. Malli, George K. Pelia, Kyriakos G. Giannou. Also, the memorial service was held for the eleven murdered by the Turks, Christodoulou Xenarou, Christofi Siafkou, Costa P. Atta, Charalambou P. Atta, Antonis T. Geropapas, Ioannis T. Geropapas, Panagi K. Spyrou, Spyrou Pyros, Xenos Pyros Xenos Andrea Larkou and Christou Hadjikonstantoura ".

According to the announcement, "a prayer was also sent for the search for the six missing Lysiotes, Panagiotis Nikolettis, Andreas G. Makaritis, Takis M. Mouskou, Franzeskou D. Kagaris, Xeni Ttofa and Dimitris Kolanis".
