The study of the finding on the loss of 14-year-old Stylianos by the Legal Service has been completed.
The Legal Service received the finding last December and then a team of officials of the Service undertook its study.
At noon on Friday, the Attorney General made announcements about the result of the finding. Mr. Savvidis said that the death of the 14-year-old child shocked everyone.
The Prosecutor succinctly stated that 12 people will be prosecuted. The Prosecutor underlined that no other details will be announced while at the same time he stressed that everyone is innocent until proven otherwise.
"On December 1, 2020, the Prosecutor's Office received the conclusion of the two independent criminal investigators who had been appointed by Costas Clerides in connection with the case of suicide and death of 14-year-old Stylianos.
A tragic story and a case with an end that shocked us. My wish is never, never, to witness such incidents.
I gave instructions and a team was set up to study the bulky finding.
We fully understand the strong desire for the investigation of the case as soon as possible. However, I reiterate that as a Legal Service we have a responsibility and obligation to assess the criminal aspect of each case with due diligence ", said among others the Attorney General.
