The Police in Nicosia handcuffed two people for stealing copper pipes. They are men aged 42 and 29, who were taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
According to relevant information, the offenses under investigation against them are conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary and theft and concern two complaints (April 2 and 4, 2024), for the theft of copper pipes and various tools, from two apartment buildings in the Nicosia district.
In subsequent searches both in the house and in the 29-year-old's car, a large number of items were found, including tools, pieces of copper pipes, pumps, etc., for which he did not provide sufficient explanations for their origin.
When interrogated, the 42-year-old man seems to have admitted to committing a case (theft of copper pipes) and pointed to a scene where a large number of copper pipes were found.
A number of copper pipes, as well as part of the property found in the house and in the car of the 29-year-old, were identified by the complainants.
