An 18-year-old man was detained for eight days for a case of migrant trafficking

The 18-year-old allegedly cooperates with another person who resides in Lebanon

An 18-year-old man of Lebanese origin, who was arrested yesterday, on the basis of a court warrant, was placed under eight-day detention today, for an investigated case concerning, among other offenses, participation in a criminal organization, illegal trafficking of irregular immigrants, conspiracy to commit a felony and money laundering.

The said person allegedly cooperates with another person who resides in Lebanon and that they are members of a trafficking ring of irregular immigrants from Lebanon to the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.

Two persons are still wanted for this case.
