A case of attempted murder against a 46-year-old man from Nicosia is being investigated by the Larnaca Police Department.
According to the Police, around 23.30 pm last night, a 46-year-old man from Nicosia went to the TAEP of the Limassol General Hospital, injured by bullets in the shoulder.
Members of the Limassol TAE visited the 46-year-old at the Hospital and told them that around ten last night he drove to a specific place in the Oroklini area of Larnaca province to meet with some people.
Upon arrival in the area, the 46-year-old realized that there were two parked vehicles in one of which a 45-year-old man from Larnaca and two other unknown persons were sitting.
The 46-year-old did not get out of his vehicle and tried to leave the area because he suspected that a cartridge had been set up to cause him harm.
In his attempt to leave the scene, he noticed the 45-year-old getting out of the car in which he was riding holding a short-barreled shotgun and after approaching him at close range, he fired two shots at him, hitting both his vehicle and himself in the shoulder.
The 46-year-old left the area and driving his car went to the TAEP of the Limassol General Hospital where he was detained for precautionary reasons. His state of health is judged by the treating doctors out of danger
The TAE Larnaca was informed about the incident, members of which went to the scene, which they blocked and with the first light of day, investigations will begin to locate evidence.
Police have issued arrest warrants against two wanted individuals.
