For the second and last term he has submitted a candidacy, repeated President Anastasiadis, adding that what has been achieved so far is not accidental.

It was, he said, the result of collective action on the part of the government, but primarily with the cooperation of the social partners and the sacrifices of the people.
He stressed that on the basis of what has been achieved so far, his vision for the next five years is based. A vision, he added, that wants Cyprus to be a completely European country, free and truly independent.
The President of the Republic expressed the hope that, in the next period, a mild political climate will prevail, because -he said- the day after the elections he must find everyone united for the good of the homeland.

N. Papadopoulos

Nikolas Papadopoulos wished that in 2018 he brings change and credibility to the place and above all freedom in the homeland.
He reiterated that, with the new strategy he proposes, entanglement and corruption will be tackled, the welfare state will be strengthened and the Cypriot economy will be developed, in parallel with the efforts to resolve the Cyprus problem.
Mr. Papadopoulos said that the proposals of the forces of change bring new things, adding that those who support his candidacy constitute a huge social majority, which seeks to end failed policies and restore the dignity of the people.

F. Malas

Stavros Malas promises the resumption of negotiations for the settlement of the Cyprus problem and the redesign of the economic and social policy of the state, if the people elect him President of the Republic.
He said he was listening to the messages and concerns of society, assuring that he would serve as president of all Cypriots. Because, he added, what unites us is tomorrow and our Cyprus and not the chairs of power.
Mr. Malas stressed that he will utilize the best minds of the place, from all political spaces and social strata, in order to deal with corruption and entanglement, with respect for the institutions.

G. Lillikas

As an alternative, George Lillikas put his candidacy before the people.
I address, he said, to the citizens, who want a assertive policy in order to curb the Turkish intransigence, to resolve the Cyprus issue and to reunite our homeland. To the citizens, he added, who want change and are ready to fight for the fulfillment of the social debt to the next generations, for the restoration of the lost dignity and for an effective state, which will function transparently.
Mr. Lillikas said that his goal is also a modern and competitive economy, which will bring growth and prosperity and which will create jobs with decent wages.

Chr. Christ

With the message that the only clear voice is the voice of the National Popular Front, the president of the party, Christos Christou, submitted his candidacy.
If, he said, our fellow citizens want change and want to end with the old, rotten and corrupt, the only clear voice is that of ELAM.

Ch. Aristeidou

Submitting his candidacy, Haris Aristeidou stated that he is against the racist, as he said, Bi-Zonal Bicommunal Federation with wrong or correct content.
He also said that his candidacy is directed against the drug dealers and the corrupt, according to him, police and the political leadership that protects them.

Ch. Kapiliotis

Christakis Kapiliotis in his statement focused on the Cyprus issue. He expressed his indignation at the intransigence of Turkey and the stagnation of the Cyprus problem for 43 years.

A. Efstratiou

The assurance that he will be an unpaid president and will fight for poverty, was given by the presidential candidate, Andreas Efstratiou.
He said he would not snatch the people's vote with false promises as do the parties which, he said, left their aristocratic offices and remembered the people.

M. Month

Michalis Mina, president of the Justice Party, spoke about violations of the Election Legislation and violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus. We talked about voter bribery and unfair competition.
He also managed to counter the media by characterizing the satellites of falsehood and misinformation.
