A complete coincidence of views on the need for good preparation of a new Conference on Cyprus was found during the meeting held on the sidelines of the EU Summit in Brussels, the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis and the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, according to Deputy Government Victor Papadopoulos.
The Prime Minister briefed the President of the Republic on the content of the talks he had in Athens with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the Deputy Government Spokesman, the President of the Republic thanked the Greek Prime Minister for the positions he held towards the Turkish President and they concern the international aspect of the Cyprus issue.
During the meeting of President Anastasiadis with Prime Minister Tsipras, it was also found that there was a complete coincidence of views on the need for good preparation of a new Conference on Cyprus. The two leaders agreed that the governments of the two countries are in constant contact and coordination for further steps, Mr. Papadopoulos said in a statement.
