Presidential candidate Stavros Malas said his own plan includes a balanced development model for sustainable development and a sustainable economy.
In order to achieve this, he added, a state budget is needed, tidy, developmental and socially sensitive.
Thus, Mr. Malas stressed, we are approaching the budget in contrast to the outgoing Government, which sees only numbers and accounting balances, pointing out that surpluses must be directed to the development and reduction of social inequality.

G. Lillikas

It is a political inconsistency on the one hand to be consumed in criticism against the Government which it accuses of social analgesia and on the other hand to vote in favor of the Budget, said the president of the Citizens' Alliance, presidential candidate, George Lillikas.
He added that if the Government knew that the parties would be consistent with their declarations, it would take care, as it does with bills, to have an honest dialogue and to shape those aspects for which there were the greatest sensitivities, citing GESY as an example.
Pointing out that in case of non-approval of the Budget, a problem would be created, Mr. Lillikas said that the Government could work with twelve billions and after a dialogue to restore it, improving the aspects for which there were objections.

DISY

The electoral staff of Nikos Anastasiadis considers positive the fact that despite the interventions and suggestions, in the state budget, the consensual approach prevailed.
The spokesperson of the staff, Annita Dimitriou, stated that the message to the citizens is that the responsible economic policy must continue and that our country neither risks nor undermines the stability and development that has been achieved.
He stressed that the smooth running of the state will continue through rational management of public finances, development spending and support for the reform and modernization program of the Anastasiadis government.

AKEL

The state budget is without vision and perspective, said the general secretary of AKEL, Andros Kyprianou. He even wondered where the growth of the 3 party 7 percent is channeled.
We are, said Mr. Kyprianou, the country with the highest growth rate of inequality, unemployment is still high, while there are no proposals for creating new-quality jobs.
He said that what the Government could do would be to transfer resources where they are needed, such as in the fields of Health, Education and Social Welfare. At the same time, he added, to implement such policies, which limit the ability of some to speculate.
The General Secretary of AKEL stated that the candidate for the Presidency, Stavros Malas, will legislate the collective agreements, will proceed to the setting of a minimum wage for all professions, will ensure the provision to all employees of the 13th salary and will give incentives to companies that will apply the provisions of the legislation.

DIKO

One would be inconsistent if one took a different stance than the one taken in previous years, said the parliamentary representative of DIKO, Christiana Erotokritou, commenting on criticisms of the stance taken by the Democratic Party regarding the State Budget.
He always said, for DIKO, the economy was a national affair and he could not put it in the pre-election scenario, thinking that we would gain political benefits.
He added that, yesterday, a very large number of amendments, of DIKO, EDEK, Solidarity, Ecologists and the independent MP, Pavlos Mylonas, were approved by an overwhelming majority. And with that, concluded Mrs. Erotokritou, we gave our own position to the Budget, reducing many concerns.

SOLIDARITY

The government has a duty and obligation to draft proposals and take measures to address the root causes, which are causing spending to swell, something we have not done in the past five years, Solidarity said in a statement, commenting on the Budget vote.
He adds that in order for the citizen not to continue to pay the ransom for the inaction of the rulers, he should give the baton to the forces of change of Nikolas Papadopoulos.
