Consumers in the US and Canada will be the first to buy the PS4, while the next generation of games will be available in North America on November 15 and Europe on November 29.

Sony has made fantastic progress as it prepares to launch the PS4 in the market, yet the console is still missing an exclusive game, said Rob Crossley, a partner at PC and video games site, after announcing to Gamescom, the commercial Cologne report.

It turns out once again that the company is enviable in the developer community, but the fact is that it feels anxious as the list of big rival Xbox One exclusive games from Microsoft continues to grow.

Game expert at IDC consulting firm Lewis Ward, however, agreed that at this point the launch date was of limited importance.

But if the PS4 hits the market a week before the Xbox One, then Sony will definitely have the lead.

Sony said there were already more than a million pre-orders for its new console worldwide, adding that a total of 32 countries would be able to purchase the PS4 at Christmas time.
