Fluffy baked meatballs

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 600 grams of minced meat
  • 1-2 onions grated on a grater
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ loaf of bread (2-3 days)
  • 1 teaspoon grated cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 glass of ouzo liqueur
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Implementation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Soak the bread in a glass bowl with water. Remove the bark with your hands or a knife.
  2. When the bread has absorbed enough water, squeeze it and pour the water.
  3. In the same bowl, put the minced meat and knead it well with the bread crumbs. Add the grated onion and continue to knead.
  4. Add the eggs, oregano, cumin, ouzo, salt and pepper and knead all the ingredients well. Put the bowl with the mixture in the fridge and leave it for an hour.
  5. When you take it out, shape the meatballs and put them on a baking sheet with non-stick paper. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, turning them over at half the baking time.
