French toast with apple

Ingredients for 3 people

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 apple cut into cubes
  • Whipped cream optional

Implementation

  1. In a pan, spread butter and mix in a bowl the sugar, the baking powder, the salt and the vanilla.
  2. Beat the eggs and beat with a whisk until it becomes a thick porridge. Slowly add the milk, continuing to beat.
  3. Then dip the slices of bread in the mixture and transfer them to the pan next to each other, pour over the rest of the mixture and leave for 5 minutes before putting them in the oven.
  4.  Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for a quarter until puffed in the center and serve with apple.
