Traditional Easter bunnies

Semi-sweet buns that are kneaded and baked on Lazarus Saturday

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of flour
  • 1 glass of lukewarm water
  • 2 sachets of yeast
  • 1/2 cup teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup tea seed oil
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon
  • Carnations

Implementation

  1. Pour the flour into a bowl and add the oil.
  2. Mix the yeast in the water and pour the mixture into the bowl with the flour.
  3. Add the sugar and cinnamon and knead well until the mixture is homogeneous.
  4. Add extra water if needed.
  5. Shape the lazaraki in the shape of a swaddled man (as Lazarus is depicted in the pictures), put the carnations like eyes on the face and place them in a pan on oil-based glue.
  6. Bake at 180 degrees for half an hour.
