Grilled salmon with honey and chili

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, separated
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. cumin
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice

Implementation

step 1

In a bowl, combine the honey and 1 tablespoon of olive oil and lightly brush each salmon fillet with the mixture.

In another bowl, combine the brown sugar with the chili, salt, pepper and cumin. Using your hands, rub the mixture into the flesh of the salmon fillets.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the other tablespoon of olive oil.

When warm, add the salmon fillet with the skin side down and immediately reduce the heat to medium-low.

Cook the salmon for 7 minutes, turn over and fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and serve each fillet with the brown rice.
