Bread stuffed with garlic and cheese

For bread

  • 1 loaf of bread of 1 kg, preferably with sourdough
  • 1 cup teaspoon grated melted cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

For the butter-garlic spread

  • 100 gr. room-temperature butter
  • 2 cloves garlic mashed
  • 1/2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped

Implementation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Melt the butter and mix it with the garlic, salt and parsley.
  2. With a sharp knife, cut cubes on the surface of the bread, diagonally, 2,5 cm wide and about 2,5-3 cm deep.
  3. Using your fingers or a knife, open each sliced ​​bread cube and with a teaspoon sprinkle in the butter mixture and add a pinch of grated cheese.
  4. Continue the same process until you have filled all the cut cubes on all sides.
  5. When finished, brush the remaining butter-garlic mixture on top.
  6. Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes to melt the cheese well.
  7. Remove the foil and continue baking for 5 more.
  8. Take it out of the oven and serve it immediately, sprinkling it with a little more chopped parsley.
