Ingredients for 4 people
For bread
- 1 loaf of bread of 1 kg, preferably with sourdough
- 1 cup teaspoon grated melted cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
For the butter-garlic spread
- 100 gr. room-temperature butter
- 2 cloves garlic mashed
- 1/2 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
Implementation
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Melt the butter and mix it with the garlic, salt and parsley.
- With a sharp knife, cut cubes on the surface of the bread, diagonally, 2,5 cm wide and about 2,5-3 cm deep.
- Using your fingers or a knife, open each sliced bread cube and with a teaspoon sprinkle in the butter mixture and add a pinch of grated cheese.
- Continue the same process until you have filled all the cut cubes on all sides.
- When finished, brush the remaining butter-garlic mixture on top.
- Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes to melt the cheese well.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for 5 more.
- Take it out of the oven and serve it immediately, sprinkling it with a little more chopped parsley.
