Maria Menounos' family has sunk into mourning once again. The Greek-American presenter lost her mother a few months ago, after a long battle with cancer.
A few hours ago, her father's brother also passed away, having been defeated by the coronavirus.
She made the unpleasant news known by posting it on social media.
"I was very sad to see my uncle fighting with Covid. "But as I said, I know it is in a better place," she said in a touching post.
Details of what she wrote in her post
"We lost the patriarch of our family yesterday. My uncle Arthur. My dad's favorite brother. Lots of losses lately in my family but I know he is in a better place with my mom and his parents.
I drank a glass of red wine, his favorite, to honor him.
When my mother died, Kev (s.s. her husband) and I drank beers and sat outside. I went to work the next day. Life goes on whether we like it or not.
Today I am at work. We all have a date of birth and death as we will discuss on my show in the coming weeks.
We choose how long we will mourn and what mourning will be like.
It is different for everyone and no one knows how one feels inside.
