Approximately 18.400 tests throughout Cyprus have been performed to date in Kindergartens, Primary Schools, Gymnasiums, Lyceums, Technical Schools and Private Schools in the framework of the decision of the Council of Ministers to conduct diagnostic tests on SARS-CoV-2 disease.
An announcement by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth states that the inspections were carried out by mobile units which continue the inspections on a sample basis by teachers and other staff and students in schools.
He added that "the program of sampling controls continues uninterrupted with the aim of carrying out the 20.000 sampling inspections".
