Two more boats with 68 migrants arrived in Cyprus during the night.

According to information, 67 are from Syria and one person from Bangladesh.

The first boat was stopped at around 00:55 and was carrying 43 people, 25 men, five women, six children and seven unaccompanied.

At 4 o'clock in the morning, according to the Authorities, the migrants were safely transported to the Ayia Napa Marina. The process of recording their details is in progress.

The second boat was stopped at 02:30 with 25 migrants on board. They are 16 men, one woman, two children and six unaccompanied.

At 04:40 the migrants were transferred to the Ayia Napa Marina. The process of recording their details is in progress.

The Police proceeded to arrest two persons from Syria, aged 26 and 52. The two persons are expected to appear today before the District Court of Famagusta for the issuance of a detention order.

The two boats reportedly sailed from Lebanon. They were located in the sea area southeast of Cabo Greco.
