As he stated in KYPE, after the cancellation of the protest event against the visit of the Turkish President that was to take place on Sunday, due to the measures for the coronavirus, they hope that they will receive a special permit to hold the extraordinary plenary session of the Municipal Council. members who live in Limassol, at the Cultural Center of the Municipality in Deryneia, and all 27 can walk in a symbolic movement, towards the roadblock there.
The resolution that they will approve, said Mr. Ioannou, will be sent to the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council, to the UN Secretary General and the EU institutions.
Asked what messages he is receiving from the people of Varos due to the developments, the Mayor of Famagusta said that the world is divided.
