The arrest of a 51-year-old captain of a merchant ship was made by the Police in Limassol, who had run aground in the closed port of Famagusta.
According to the Police, the 51-year-old foreigner had arrived at the occupied port of Famagusta last January and in the previous days he sailed from the area and ran aground in the port of Limassol.
The 51-year-old was arrested yesterday for the crime of his departure, from the port of Famagusta and was taken into custody.
Limassol Police continues the examinations.
