AGIA NAPA: What the Police say about the injury of the 12-year-old (Audio)

The circumstances under which the traffic collision took place are being investigated

A case of injury to a 12-year-old from Ayia Napa is being investigated by the Famagusta Traffic Police in collaboration with the Ayia Napa Police Station.

Specifically, yesterday at around 7 pm, information was received at the Ayia Napa Police Station about an injured person who was on the road in front of the church of Agios Epiphanios in Ayia Napa, an injury which was probably caused by a road traffic collision.

Members of the Police went to the scene where they found the 12-year-old as well as an ambulance with its crew which provided him with first aid.

The 12-year-old was first taken to the General Hospital of Famagusta and then, due to the seriousness of his condition, he was taken intubated to the General Hospital of Nicosia where he is being treated.

According to the doctors on duty, the child has a skull fracture and brain bleeding.

The circumstances that caused the 12-year-old's injury are being investigated.

Today, at first light, investigators from the Traffic Department revisited the scene where they conducted examinations, obtained photographs and collected various evidence.

The Police Station of Ayia Napa in collaboration with the Famagusta Traffic Police are continuing the examinations.
