CCTV footage is being investigated by authorities to determine the facts surrounding an 80-year-old woman's complaint of sexual abuse by a 17-year-old in Ayia Napa.
According to information, the 80-year-old woman stated in the complaint that the 17-year-old man followed her and then attacked and sexually assaulted her.
Authorities arrested the 17-year-old after reviewing information and CCTV footage.
The 80-year-old woman was examined by a medical examiner and different evidence was obtained for scientific examinations.
It is recalled that the case was reported last Thursday, December 14, to the Famagusta Police, with the suspect being brought before a court where his detention was ordered for a period of 6 days.
Police are continuing their investigations.
