The construction works of the emblematic project of the Ayia Napa Marina are constantly evolving, a project that promotes the development and highlights the dynamics of the Cypriot entrepreneurship and whose completion will contribute to the promotion of the high tourist profile of Cyprus.
The first phase of the project, which concerns the infrastructure and mooring projects, is nearing completion. In particular, the geotechnical works around the project and the marina basin - earthworks and dredging - have been fully completed, while the works on the southern breakwater, one kilometer, are progressing rapidly, with the installation of the remaining prefabricated concrete units in .
Advances in geotechnical work and the breakwater have allowed construction teams to proceed with the project road network and the construction of key buildings, such as the government building and the marina management building, which are also included in the first phase, is visible. Progress has also been made on the boat maintenance building, which will play a key role in the operation of the marina.
As for the projects of the second phase that concern the residential and commercial constructions, they are proceeding normally, with the commercial area of restaurants and shops being visible. The concrete wall around the project has been extended to the platforms that will support the Event Center and the Yacht Club, shaping the structure in the center of the marina.
At the same time, the foundations have been laid for the East Tower that will allow the beginning of its construction. The subsoil and the piles have been strictly inspected and the construction team has carried out the same inspections for the West Tower, the foundation of which will begin soon.
As stated by the CEO of MM Makronisos Marina Ltd, Mr. Stavros Karamontanis, referring to the progress of this magnificent project: "The completion schedule of the Ayia Napa Marina is strictly followed and soon the project will be an important pole of attraction and promotion of maritime tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean. 85% of the East Tower has already been sold.
