On Thursday, June 6, a delegation of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus) visited the ongoing flagship project of the Ayia Napa Marina and was informed about the progress of the works, the completion schedule of the individual constructions and especially the investment opportunities presented in as well as in the delivery stage of the marina and the operation works of the marina.
The visit took place in the framework of the initiative undertaken by Invest Cyprus to promote business opportunities in Cyprus.
The representatives of Invest Cyprus, Mr. Michalis Michael Chairman of the Board, George Kampanella General Manager and Nikola Theocharidis Member of the Board, were welcomed and guided at the construction site by the CEO of MM Makronisos Marina Ltd, Mr. Stavros Karamon the importance of the construction of the Ayia Napa Marina for the enhancement of maritime tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean and the contribution of the project to the upgrade of the tourist product of Cyprus by attracting quality tourism throughout the year. 
As Mr. Karamontanis pointed out: “The Ayia Napa Marina is a unique project not only for Cyprus but for the whole of Europe, and is the largest foreign investment today in Cyprus. "This important project has already gained international fame, a fact that is recorded in the special interest shown by buyers and investors, worldwide, mainly from the markets of Russia, the Middle East and Asia." He also added that more than 85% of the East Tower has already been sold in Ayia Napa Marina.
During the tour, the representatives of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency had the opportunity to see the significant progress of the work, as the infrastructure works have already been completed, the geotechnical works are in the completion phase, while the southern breakwater is in full swing. The superstructure of the road is almost complete, the road projects are evolving rapidly, while the main buildings and the buildings of the commercial development are now visible. Administration offices and government buildings are also moving fast.
The visitors assured Mr. Karamontanis, after the completion of their visit, that this is indeed a grand project - a jewel for Cyprus and Invest Cyprus will take every action to further enhance its visibility in international business, with the aim of attracting significant investors. The international situation, after all, and the political developments in the Southeastern Mediterranean, make the Ayia Napa Marina an attractive destination for high investments and the project changes the business profile of the province of Famagusta and Cyprus in general.
