The Municipality of Deryneia announces that this year Shrove Monday will be celebrated for the first time in the Church of Agia Marina in the Dead Zone, from 9:00 am. until 5:00 pm, following the approval of his request to the United Nations.
All participants in the celebrations should follow the instructions of the United Nations and be limited to the area around the Church. Private cars will be allowed on site to the point designated by the United Nations.
The Church of Agia Marina will remain open for pilgrimage. All hikers are invited to show the required respect for the nature and the peculiarities of the area.
