The Municipality of Deryneia participated from July 5-8 in the international meeting of the European program BRICS - Broaden Resources In Common for Solidarity, held in the city of Kelme, Lithuania, with the participation of municipalities from Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia and Serbia.
The program was about trying to bring European citizens closer together, to get to know the history and diversity of the EU better. and encourage social and democratic participation at EU level
The Municipality of Deryneia presented its experience from solidarity and social integration practices at the local level and the promotion of youth participation.
Finally, souvenirs were exchanged and traditional products from every country were offered.
