The 47-year-old man of Syrian origin, who was arrested for a case of illegal trafficking of immigrants, appeared today before the Famagusta District Court, where a detention order was issued against him for 8 days. A case is being investigated against him in connection with the following offenses:
- Conspiracy to commit a crime.
- Assistance to a third country person for illegal entry into the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
- Assistance to a third country person with intent and for the purpose of making a profit.
- United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and Protocols and
- Prohibited immigrant.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE.
