At arrest of a 49-year-old resident of a village in the province of Famagusta, the Police proceeded yesterday, to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of illegal possession, transportation and use of explosives and causing malicious damage.
Testimony emerged against the 49-year-old during the police examinations regarding damages caused to a glass showcase of a real estate, in the province of Famagusta, on the night of October 25 to 26, 2022. According to information, the perpetrator threw the grenade into the building of the community council of Frenaros.
Members of the Police went to the scene, where they carried out tests. As it was established, the damages were caused by a drop training grenade, which did not explode.
