A new fatal accident occurred on Tuesday night on the road Liopetri - Xylofagou.
Specifically, around 9 pm on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, under the circumstances under investigation, two motorcycles, one large and one moped, collided with each other.
One motorcycle came to a standstill on the iron railings of the road, while the other traveled about two hundred meters from the scene of the collision and tore down the wall of an adjacent gas station.
The two motorcyclists were taken to the Famagusta General Hospital by ambulance. The 24-year-old driver of the moped is being treated at the General Hospital of Famagusta in serious condition but out of danger, while the driver of the large-capacity motorcycle lost his life. Its identity will be verified by the DNA method.
Authorities are collecting evidence and testimonies from the scene, in order to clarify the causes of the new car accident. The road Liopetri - Xylofagou, remains closed for examination of the conditions of the new fatal.
